Payment & Cancellations
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars and are subject to 5% GST.
Credit card payment is available through this website.
To arrange payment by e-transfer, please request an invoice.
Full payment is due at the time of booking. This includes a $100 non-refundable deposit, which secures your date and is excluded from any refund.
E-transfer bookings are confirmed once payment is received. Requesting an invoice places a 48-hour hold on your date; if payment is not received within 48 hours, the date will be released.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email.
More than 30 days' notice: Full refund, less the deposit.
14–29 days' notice: 50% refund, or a credit for the full amount paid (less the deposit) toward a future booking.
7–13 days' notice: 25% refund, or a credit for 50% of the amount paid toward a future booking.
Less than 7 days' notice: No refund or credit.
Credits are issued as a dollar amount and may be applied toward any booking at current rates. Credits are valid through the end of the following calendar year, are subject to availability, and may be applied to one rescheduled booking. If the rescheduled booking is cancelled, standard cancellation terms apply to it, and the credit is not reissued.
Bookings are transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your booking to another participant who meets the required prerequisites.
Trip cancellation insurance is recommended: tugo.com
Company Cancellations
If Kinley Aitken Guiding cancels a booking, a full refund will be issued, including the deposit.
Some scheduled clinics require a minimum number of participants to run. If minimum enrollment is not met, you will be offered:
A transfer to another clinic date
The option to run the clinic privately (at private guiding rates)
A full refund
Weather
Climbing takes place in dynamic natural environments. Weather conditions may vary from forecasted predictions, and rock in Squamish often dries quickly following rainfall. For this reason, refunds are not issued due to unfavourable forecasts. Guides may adjust objectives or locations to ensure safe, appropriate, and productive climbing conditions.
Clinics & Singlepitch — Clinics and Singlepitch programs typically proceed in wet weather, as many sheltered venues in the Sea to Sky corridor allow for effective instruction and climbing.
Multipitch — Your guide will monitor local forecasts and contact you the day before your scheduled climb to discuss conditions and options. If weather prevents the planned Multipitch objective from being safely achieved, you will be offered:
A half-day of private instruction or Singlepitch climbing (with a refund of the cost difference), or
A 50% refund.
Postponed and prepaid weather days are credited as a dollar amount and must be used by the end of the following calendar year.
Waiver
All participants must read and complete the Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement prior to participation.
An identical waiver will be reviewed and signed in person before departure.
Each adult participant must complete their own waiver.
A parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver and Acknowledgement of Risk form for any minor participant.
Participation is not permitted without a completed waiver.
If booking on behalf of others, it is your responsibility to ensure each participant completes the required documentation.
